11:00pm Depart Over the Road Motor Coach ( Generally used for groups 1000 miles to chosen destination or less.
 

Pickup directly at your school or a centrally located community parking facility of your group leaders choice. Your motor coach will arrive approximately 30 to 40 minutes prior to your finalized departure time. All motor coaches are restroom equipped and designed for comfort on long over the road trips with. DVD/VCR and cell-phone contact. Copies of insurance can be forwarded to your school administration, parent support group or student leadership. Motor coach will stop approximately 1 hour for a meal, there will also be 2 twenty minute soda / snack breaks to stretch legs. Times are approximate and depend on motor coach operators, group leaders and distance from your school.

11:30am Arrive Arrive in Gatlinburg, TN

Check into Comfort Inn on the River. This hotel is located at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, conveniently nestled in the heart of the downtown area.  Enjoy "EXTENDED" Continental Breakfast each morning, free coffee in lobby, outdoor pool (seasonally), and there is also a trolley stop at our hotel. Rooms include 2 Queen beds, balcony, cable / Satellite Color TV, computer hook-ups, free local calls, hair dryer, in-room coffee maker, individual air conditioning and heat, iron and ironing board and wake-up service.  "It's OUR GROUPS favorite hotel! Others are available!"

 

Arrival Afternoon Free Time

Students will have several pockets of free time over the next 5 days. This afternoon is the largest single amount of free time. Take this time to relax and enjoy the hotel/resort.  The orange and green Gatlinburg Trolley System has a stop right outside of our hotel. Simply ask the front desk where the trolley stop is. The trolley circulates from 8am to midnight approximately every 15 to 20 min . It is .50 cents per ride and each trolley holds approximately 36 people. See your "student room packet"  for a trolley guide & schedule plus " Your Gatlinburg What to DO GuideBook"  It's Easy, because only 2 blocks from your hotel is the start of the main area to explore Gatlinburg and the hundreds of fun and exciting restaurants, shops, boutiques, wax museums, famous car collections,  Ripley's Aquarium,  and adventures that it has to offer. 7:15pm Depart Walk to Hard Rock Cafe 1 Block from our hotel! 
7:30pm Arrive Hard Rock Cafe

What would a graduation trip be without stopping by a Hard Rock Café. Famous world wide Hard Rock Café’s have been known for "Peace and Harmony" thru Rock and Roll. While you are in the Gatlinburg Hard Rock Café view the many displays of legendary singers, bands, and rock and roll memorabilia. Bring your healthy appetite to enjoy the Jailhouse Rock Menu selection which includes choice of: Charbroiled Burger or Cheeseburger, Veggie Burger, Grilled Chicken Sandwich or Pulled Pork Sandwich, with Caesar Salad, Chef’s Choice of Dessert, and soft drinks. Get ready to rock 'n' roll. We do!

 

8:45pm Depart Gatlinburg Tour -spend the next  45 min to 1 hour of this first evening touring on our coach "at your command" driving  thru the resort community of Gatlinburg.

Load the bus and head for Whitewater Rafting Trip

Noon Arrive Whitewater Rafting

Come join us on the best whitewater trip in the southeast. Our professional  staff will guide you down the beautiful Pigeon River as it travels through the Cherokee National Forest for a all too brief 2-hour adventure!. You will stop down river for lunch around 2pm. Enjoy a cookout with burgers, chips, beans, roll and lemonade. You won't believe how good lunch is outside by a mountain stream!!

Remember one thing about rafting. You will get wet!! Bring a towel and a change of clothes to leave on the coach for the trip back to the hotel.

Regarding Clothing

Warm Weather: Tennis shoes, shorts, swimsuit, and a tee shirt.

Cool Weather: Wool garments, such as a sweater, socks and a hat.

SAFETY: Our whitewater rafting company makes every reasonable effort to ensure that each of our guests has a safe and enjoyable river trip. All of our guides are trained and certified in first aid and CPR. However, any whitewater activity poses inherent risks, and all participants are required to read and sign a waiver of liability prior to their trip. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted on any of our  trips, and anyone impaired by such substances will be excluded from any activity without refund.

You will have time to relax, swim, shop, shower, change and get ready for the Comedy Barn. Dinner will be on your own before the show. There are several restaurants within walking distance from your hotel. Such great nearby restaurants are Parton’s Deli, Diamonds Grill, Smokey Mountain Trout House or Applebee’s, even within 6 blocks are DQ, McDs,  SubWay, Wendy's, KFC, etc! Another option is to catch the trolley ride to many other exciting places to eat but be back on time for our trip to the Comedy Barn.

7:30pm Arrive Comedy Barn
The Comedy Barn Theater, located in Pigeon Forge, TN, is an award winning family comedy variety show in the Smokey Mountains. Once at the Comedy Barn there will be a greeter that will join the bus and instruct the group where to go and the bus driver where to park. Our show features magicians, fire-eaters, jugglers, ventriloquists, clean family comedians, live country and gospel music as well as fun barnyard animals. The Comedy Barn offers clean comedy for an enjoyable evening of silly fun. You'll laugh until you can't laugh anymore. If students are still hungry or you get the munchies before or at intermission the Comedy Barn offers Papa Johns Pizza by the slice, nachos and cheese, hot dogs, chips, popcorn, 16 flavors of ice cream, slushies and Coke products that you can purchase individually.

Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a fun-filled, action-packed extravaganza that everyone should experience! It’s the perfect place for student groups to gather for spectacular special effects, amazing stunts by the most talented performers in the area. At the Dixie Stampede, each ticket includes our special Carriage Room Opening Act, the thrilling main show in our beautiful Arena and a mouth-watering four-course dinner. Including a Mouth-Watering Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken, Delicious Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Loin, Dixie Stampede's Original Creamy Vegetable Soup, Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit, Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob, Tasty Herb-basted Potato, Dixie's very own Specialty Dessert, and Unlimited Pepsi, tea or coffee. We will arrive and be directed into an area where a pre-show will be held. Then the group will be directed into the main Arena for the show itself and dinner.

BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR DINNER!!

Pack your bathing suit or wear it under your clothes for dinner later on and change in Splash Country lockers (don’t forget to bring a plastic bag for your wet clothes at the end of the day). Then plunge into Splash Country. This 30-acre water adventure theme park combines the beauty of the Smoky Mountains with the excitement of water park rides, slides and attractions guaranteed to cool you off on a hot summer day! There are activities ranging from a relaxing tube float on the Lazy River to the thrilling Big Bear Plunge white water rafting ride. Explore the multi-level Bear Mountain Fire Tower- a new water filled park attraction featuring a 1,000-gallon water splash, also aim and fire water cannons, seven water slides, plus escape chutes, sliding poles and ladders. For those who crave more excitement, there's a 25,000-square-foot wave pool. At the end of the day, around 4:30pm, shower, change clothes, stuff your swimming gear in a plastic bag and get ready for dinner. Lunch on your own or we can arrange a "private group BBQ"

a great and famous Blues type restaurant with a very interesting décor and memorabilia featuring sports bar type TV’s in many locations. Each student will have a paper menu that he or she will circle for their choice of one of the following entrée.

   1. Beef Brisket and ¼ BBQ Chicken Dinner (Tender chunks of hand-pulled beef seasoned to perfection and ¼ hickory-smoked chicken with Corky’s world-   

famous BBQ sauce)

   2. Pulled Pork and ¼ BBQ Chicken Dinner (Hickory-smoked and slow-cooked pork hand-pulled and seasoned to perfection and ¼ hickory-smoked chicken with Corky’s world-famous BBQ sauce)

    3. ¾ lb. Smoked Spare Ribs (Hickory-smoked lean St. Louis style ribs slow-cooked, seasoned and brushed with Corky’s world-famous BBQ sauce)

    4. 2 Bones of Ribs & Pulled Pork (Two Hickory-smoked lean St. Louis style ribs slow-cooked, seasoned and brushed with Corky’s world-famous BBQ sauce)

    5. Chicken Tenders (Fresh chicken tenders hand battered, seasoned and fried golden brown. Served with French Fries)

The unique theme park at the Ski Resort offers the opportunity to ice skate or shop in the 62,000 sq. foot Tramway Mall, ride the South's longest Scenic Chairlift to the pinnacle of Mt. Harrison, enjoy the excitement of the Alpine Slide, Municipal Black Bear Habitat, Go-Kart Track, Water Rides, Spider Web, Bungee Run, Mini Golf, Arcade and more! Experience the thrill of a lifetime as you ride down the 1800 foot twin track Alpine Slide (unlimited rides) or relax as the Chairlift takes you to awe-inspiring views & spectacular photo opportunities of the Smoky Mountains.
